1. If they don't want you there...leave.
2. Did you really think sticking a camera in their faces and whining about them not being nice would help matters?!

Oh

if only it was that easy. You can barely get the consulates to answer their phones. Basically they are here for drug mules who get caught and renewing passports. If you actually have a serious problem they just tell you to report it to
the local police which is basically a waste of time in most instances. Although i have a good relationship with the local police in D2 now and even got invited to one of their parties they still don't really bother with much. He will probably pick on the wrong person at some stage and just disappear, the only thing that will be left will be his awful Youtube videos.

Best to just stop and leave. The last place u want to end up in is a prison or worse, a psychiatric hospital here.

Actually I just saw the video underneath here and saw what he looks like and what he did. He sounds like he's either on drugs or needing some. Maybe it's time to go home buddy.

He doesn't know that he is sick. He needs help not scorn. I hope someone contact his family members in the US and inform them of his situation at hand...before it gets any worse. I would call them if I know their phone number.

Daniel Scott He sleeps with and accidentally kills his guinea pig. The weird thing is that he speaks of it like it's a human. Calling it "a girl" and he "slept with her". Some creepy murderous sex fetish going on there.

My god. Just watch this one. Listen to what he says about the "chicken" that this "skinny" "nine year old" girl is drawing. "Gobble gobble." Why would anybody let their kids near this guy?

No Jonathan Barlow and I don't want to post the link as I don't want him to get hits on the video which may just encourage him. In it he is chasing young Vietnamese girls through small alleys and he says at the beginning I am going to chase these girls they are scared of me and all I want to do is sing songs to them. He's a grown man it's not normal to do that in any country!

How the fuck does he survive? I don't get it!
Some local family must have taken him in out of pity. I've heard of that happening a lot. They are very caring towards the mentally ill here it seems.

On his FB page he talks about the police telling the people housing him that he has to go. He was complaining about being homeless as a result. I am sure the US consulate is aware of him, I am not sure why they haven't tried to help him, or send him ho
me maybe what he is doing is not offensive to them? Maybe we are all just overreacting but going on his video's and recent events he seems unhinged and in need of assistance.

That's exactly why I posted that particular video Eslizabeth Homfray... I think this guy needs help, I can't help him but maybe someone who sees the video can. I thought about posting the one with the girls too but I figured the first one has more than
enough insight into his mind. The kid is not right in the head. He may not be a harm to anyone violently but he will, without a doubt, cause more problems for himself and the expat community if he doesn't get some help. I would suggest getting a group of guys to go have a beer with him and just talk with him.

I definitely think that is one that is best done by the men in the group. However I don't think it will have much impact he doesn't seem to have a reason switch. I am worried he will become a cautionary tale about mentally ill expats in Vietnam who have no family here. He will piss off the wrong people and end up disappearing especially if he keeps carrying on like that with young children and girls.

just contact him, ask him if he would like to go out and have a beer or dinner if he doesn't drink. Have like 3 or 4 guys with you that you trust would be responsible and mature in handling the situation (emphasis being on what's best for the internati
onal community as a whole AND what's best for Joey)... Just make friends with him, who knows he may turn out to be a creative and enthusiastic little dude that just needs a friend or a little guidance. Who knows, a night out with 4 cool guys from other countries who show him some attention may change his life for the better.

and Erich Dang you both speak a lot of sense in comparison
to most on this forum who are just ignorant and show no humility to the guy who quite obviously has issues.
I have messaged him in the past but with no success. He doesn't compr
ehend his actions or behaviour. If you are both keen to find an opportunity to meet him, sit him down and have a chat I'm in.
I would feel bloody awful if something happened to him here, knowing we just watched from afar and did nothing to help.

Its great to see people who give a shit. I wish I could join in but I live in Thailand at the moment. I am currently looking for a teaching job to go back but definitely not in a pos
ition to help on a face to face basis. I just feel bad for the guy. It sucks to struggle and not have anyone try to help you. Anyone of us could be just like him without friends or family to gives us support. Anyways, I would strongly encourage someone from this groups to keep trying to be-friend this guy, If for no other reason than to protect your community there. But with hopes that you could change his life for the better.

Michael Bones. Unfortunately, I got work coming out of my ears at the moment and will be tied up until at least 2 weeks from now. I already pm before noon but so far have not got any answer from him. If I do get a reply from him, I will invite him out for a beer when things get a little less hectic for me.
