Jailed For Media Spread

That we have to be careful of our actions on social media... Better not saying anything bad and respect the law of each country you are in
P$: By the way, I feel even love Viet Nam more. Be happy that you're expats in Viet Nam and especially in Sai Gon haha
An Australian woman has been arrested and jailed in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates for 'writing bad words on social media', ABC reports.

  • Nikolaos Spanoudis This can happen anywhere, if you are a foreigner and insult the visiting countries culture, joke or not, expect to have repercussions! Remember those guys in Cambodia, i think, used Buddah in their bar ads, look what they got. Better to just mind your own business and stay low key.

  • Rayan Nash Jaber Men don't be surprised, even in France if you said bad things against authorities they will shut your mouth in jail.
  • Aaron Lawrence How are any of you confused as to why she would post this? So strange. The least you could do is be nice; seeing as it's you who doesn't comprehend, and not the other way around.
Candy Nguyen, good point. It's much better being an expat here than in
many places, and one more reason to love Vietnam.

  • Stanley Leng I just treat those meanies here as "a bunch of Western expats who still think that Asia countries are Western colonies and Asians are still subject to their mockery and rebuke while in the same breath, these Asians are not allowed to be "rude" to them"....go figure....I call them useless pricks who will not survive long in my home country. grin emoticon
