Vitaly Chetverikov If
your new goal is going back to the US as you say, don't go to Moc Bai.
Go to the airport, approach a uniformed immigration officer, show him
your passport and absolutely refuse to leave. Make a scene if you must.
They can't ignore a foreigner with an expired visa at an international
airport.

Tommy Otto You did some stupid shit here. But at leased your trying to get some help. That’s commendable.
Your in a foreign country with no visa.
Your in a place that thrives off taxation and exploitation of foreigners assets.
If you are caught right now... you will just get locked up and they will call your consulate.
If you commit a crime you will get locked up and they will call your consulate
If you go to try and get a new visa you will not be able to pay and you will get locked up and they will call your consulate.
There is a theme here.
You do have one thing on your side. Your an American citizen and you have a consulate right here in the city.
Go there. Tell them the situation. They are literally the only people in this country that can help you. And just for your info they are literally they only people in this country that are obligated to help you! Remember that.
You need to bite the bullet and go tell them to get you out of the situation.
Are you really going to try and fake a visa, jump a boarder, scam your way out of this.
I’m sure the consulate had connections and can get you out if you talk to them. Hell they will even pay for it if you don’t have cash and you can not get in touch with your family.

you said I did some stupid things. A travel agency gave me a visa that I
was not allowed to have. They gave me a business visa which requires
business. I do not do business in Vietnam. How was I able to get that
visa? But do you want to say I am the bad person? It does not matter
what other people do? Only what I do is important or bad or good or not?

Brian Anthony Take
you passport, your belongings and yourself (of course) to the
immigration office at the airport. Make sure you have a ticket out of
Vietnam with you. Then explain your situation. Take your deserved lumps
and thumps from the officer. Remember, you’re
wrong. And pay the fine. It won’t be much ... but pay it. If you can’t,
then ask them for a reduced fine and mercy. They’ll allow you to leave,
rather than deporting you (using that ticket you’ll bring with you).
Remove
Lee Melvin how
did you buy a ticket to the usa? you said you only had 500 dollars. you
would need about 3,000-3,500 dollars to pay your fine and purchase a

Remove
Brian Anthony Assumptions.
Maybe a bus ticket to Cambodia or Laos ... just a verifiable method of
exiting Vietnam. The fines, if any, aren’t set in stone. They’re
discretionary at the officer’s discretion. So enough of the awful things
will happen stuff. Not to be dismissive of the fact of a simple
overstay, Joey did the right thing in turning himself in.

true we are, but I've experienced nothing but love outside the US. It's
true that in some of the Asian countries I've been to/lived in, people
are a quite preoccupied with skin colour, I've never felt threatened by
any of that though. The problem with
racism in the US, as opposed to racism in SE Asia, is that here it's a
minor inconvenience that goes away the moment that people realize you've
got a little money, there (in the US) it doesn't matter how much money
you've got, being the wrong colour can get you killed.

not racist to take issue with the culture of a country, especially when
racism is a central part of that culture. America is not a race, it's a
country. People of many races live there. Even if you were to say: "I
hate all people from America." That
would be bigoted, but not specifically racist. 'American' is not a race,
it's a nationality. It works a bit differently to places like Vietnam
and China where the nationality and the ethnicity are the same. This is
the difference between ethnically homogeneous countries, like the
Vietnam and Japan, and racially heterogeneous ones like the US, Canada,
and the UK.
