If you can make me an exit visa, please contact me.

Joey Arnold My visa expired 2 years ago. There is a $30/day fee. So, I may owe $20K or more for overstaying.

Allan Kamen Lots
of places to just walk into Cambodia and deal with a new set of
problems. The border is long and porous and not really monitored.
If you cant find a way to leave legally, carry a couple hundred dollars with you as potential bribes and walk to Cambodia. I've travelled on my motorbike maybe 200km of the border and although some is marked as mined (from the war), most is just open space.

Matthew Johnson Yeah your kind of making the best out of a pretty fucked up situation 🤔 I like this plan though, I doubt with proper bribe money and a ticket back to the west they would stop you

Bart Hamilton You've
got two options. 1) Try to sneak out to Cambodge, but then you have a
new headache there, or 2) Just try to leave. They will escort you to a
quarantine, which is a sort of soft prison. You'll be given a bed and
food, and after a few weeks, your embassy
people will show up, you will get deported, and blacklisted, but
blacklists for overstaying are not forever. You could probably come back
here in 5 yearsor even less. After all, you've done nothing political
or criminal. Just a visa violation. My advice would be to take option 2.
Option 1 might involve you getting into trouble with the Cambodian
authorities, and I'm pretty sure they are softer over here.
Remove
Bart Hamilton Joey Arnold No quarantine. It's different. There are loads of people in your situation.

Nathan Ahern If you sneak out then you got no entry stamp of camobodia when you leave, sounds worse

King Hanna Jason,
I understand they said go to immigration. Now he's done that and is
unsuccessful, gotta start back at square 1. Even if the result is jail
time, the American embassy has to provide better guidance than the
trolls on the expat page. Until you can give better advise, stfu.

Vitaly Chetverikov Joey,
you come from the greatest country in the world. Instead of staying
there, you chose to be illegally unemployed in Vietnam and are
contemplating becoming illegally unemployed in Cambodia. What is wrong

Then go to the airport, approach a uniformed immigration officer, show
him your passport and absolutely refuse to leave. Make a scene if you
must. They can't ignore a foreigner with an expired visa at an

what would happen in Cambodia if you crossed illegally. Wonder if it

Tommy Otto You did some stupid shit here. But at leased your trying to get some help. That’s commendable.
Your in a foreign country with no visa.
Your in a place that thrives off taxation and exploitation of foreigners assets.
If you are caught right now... you will just get locked up and they will call your consulate.
If you commit a crime you will get locked up and they will call your consulate
If you go to try and get a new visa you will not be able to pay and you will get locked up and they will call your consulate.
There is a theme here.
You do have one thing on your side. Your an American citizen and you have a consulate right here in the city.
Go there. Tell them the situation. They are literally the only people in this country that can help you. And just for your info they are literally they only people in this country that are obligated to help you! Remember that.
You need to bite the bullet and go tell them to get you out of the situation.
Are you really going to try and fake a visa, jump a boarder, scam your way out of this.
I’m sure the consulate had connections and can get you out if you talk to them. Hell they will even pay for it if you don’t have cash and you can not get in touch with your family.
