Some
people say Vietnam is more expensive than their home country. I just
wonder what were they doing before compared to now? Do you honestly
think and feel Vietnam is more expensive than most western countries?
Yes? No? What is your TRUE opinion? 🇻🇳
Rtie Maniquiz Cabahug Judith Jude..remove this!! scammer! you're a disgrace to our country! hahaha!

Steve Busch I
make about half the amount of money I made when I lived in the USA, and
for the first time in my life, I am saving money. I also travel more
and go out more. My apartment here in Vietnam (D3) is very comfortable
and arguably on par with my last apartment
in the US before I moved (just a bit smaller). If you think Vietnam is
more expensive, you're doing it wrong. - and this isnt related to money
- but I've lost weight and my stress level is peanuts to what it was
back home, can't put a price on that!

Helena Konstacky I make about the same money as US but rent is cheaper because our house is much larger!

Anthony DAmato Steve Busch, I was with you until the weight loss and low stress.

Sandie Langridge Agree
with you Steven Busch. Good in you. In our home countries there is to
much stress and needless spending. Since living out if a suitcase for
several months a year. We have come to realise that we have to much
stuff we do not need. I have become less stressed and do not sweat the
small stuff anymore. Maybe age has something to do with that also. Keep
on keeping on Steve.

Peter Hanlon Luxuries
such as good quality steak , lamb , pretty much most imported goods etc
. US Mart, Annam gourmet etc are certainly not cheap

Paul Jackson Peter Hanlon
yeah, anything that is not a basic local need. Pho is cheap. Steak is
not. But that's OK, It gives people a chance to live on a tight
budget, but if you have more, you can buy something that is more
expensive. Apparently it works out for most people...

higher than the philippines, Thailand and cambodia....

Alvarez Christophe It
depends on your life style. It can be more expensive or less expensive.
And also where you come from and where you live now in Vietnam...
If you are a cheap ass, it's not expensive, if you want to live normally, it will probably be more expensive.

Sanjeev Ranjan Vietnam
is not expensive per se, but there are many more things to do, many
more places where you can spend money. So, in effect, you end up
spending more.

Joey Arnold "CHEAP"
benefits buyers over sellers. And the sellers are often Vietnamese.
This is economics 101. This is a trade. One side of an exchange can have
more advantage. Most buyers are Vietnamese. But some of the buyers are
foreigners. And the foreigners can take
advantage of the deal, assuming that it works in their favor. that is
part of capitalism. The buyers lover affordable products & services.
The sellers can choose to go up or down in the prices. Sellers can
choose to compete more for more profit. Consider the point of view from
both the buyers and the sellers. The job of the buyers is to buy low.
The job of the sellers is to sell high. That is what capitalism is all
about. That is what life is all about. As long as we have enough freedom
to make those choices in how to buy and sell, how much, when, where,
what, who, why, what for, through what, and everything. The problem is
when our choices are too limited in what we can buy and sell and in the
details of all of that. Buyers want "CHEAP" and sellers want to sell
"EXPENSIVE" stuff as much as possible. It is a war between those 2
extremes. Things are too expensive in Vietnam relative to average
incomes, wages, earnings, the money normal Vietnamese people may make
per month and stuff.
Remove
Anthony Pudney Yes
. The big issue will be inflation. As Vietnamese become more in debt,
prices will go up and the urgency to buy new buy western buy things not
made in Vietnam.
Remove
Anthony Pudney Maybe
maybe not. Currency go up and down. What the biggest issue will be the
influx of imported goods. Foreign lendings. Just watch consumer
explosion. That's the real worry.
Remove
Anthony Pudney And
another problem similar to the Chinese 50% of the population is under
27. Huge work force no jobs. Similar to India and China.

Julie Elizabeth Kennedy The
only things that are more expensive are the things that have to
imported from other countries. Sometimes i still pay more for the
quality, other times im so grateful and astounded at how cheap things
are. Its definitely easier to eat and live healthily
here on a budget. (Except for pollution/traffic business) depending on
where you are from. Good education is definitely cheaper in the UK. Ive
worked in schools where the poorest children have to buy their own books
and i constantly feel the need to buy them or give them things just to
learn and for a reward for good work. Cars are more expensive here too i
agree. But its not practical to use one unless its raining
