(as in truth) ... being developed so it can be just like all of the
other homogenized / boring / culturally devoid countries on the
planet...Oh the joy...
Chloe Price I was born here, raised here, living here. Ain't developing any core but always developing looks :))))
Vu Minh Tuan ....still developing country (never get the developing done) frown emoticon
Kris Wilkins No, if it was more chaotic when I arrived than now, the development must be "less chaotic"
Alfredo Rossi Kris Wilkins: so what kind of culture you would like to impose on them?
Kris Wilkins Read my comment Alfredo, I said young new Vietnamese generations will shape their culture, not me
Bob Johnston Kris Wilkins,
not wrong, either that or the present ones need to pull collective
honorable heads out of honorable asses. The 'Golden Moment' ship has
left the dock twice,
Steve Porter Not sure where you went to in Nha Trang Tarrin but I first went there ten years ago and it was nothing like you stated.
Steve Porter But better if you get sick Mai.Thats why so many vietnamese travel overseas for medical services.
Steve Porter Ok
interesting. You mean like the sporting events, international music
artists, theatre, extreme sports. Vietnam has its street life thats about
all.
Canh Mai life
experiences isn't only about what there is to do, places to go, or who
to see. Sometimes it's about things like walking in to certain sounds or
the neon nights over headwhile you eat a solo dinner. To me, my sense
are much more alive in vn. Different values for different people I
suppose.
Tarrin Buttimer Steve
Porter I'm referring to the time when there was no international hotels
dotted along the beach. Vinpearl was a work in progress and the only
party place was the sailing club. Yes I probably did play it down, but
I'm sure you know what I mean if you
were there 10 years ago. Vinpearl wasn't that's for sure. I rode a bike
into what use to be a small fishing village 15 minutes north of town
and when I stopped for Bánh mì people came out of their houses to say
hello. It's a bit different now.
Luke Edwards Vietnam is developed. Americans think a nation without a McDonald's on every corner is undeveloped.
