Wow
He tells a girl she is nice, he tells her she is happy- she calls the police.
What the hell happened? I wish I'd seen all of that.
The best bit is the video description he wrote, the last bit....
"this is bad service. I am very angry. I am from America. I want her fired."
Wow. It's like I always say- scratch an American, you'll find an American underneath.
We have an adjective in British English, "very American."
Oatmeal

Yeah, I've met lots of lovely lovely Americans, many more that were nice than we're bad. And
oatmeal
isn't a representative of what Americans are like, I know
It was that one comment he wrote though.... "I am an American. I want her fired" that I thou
ght was hilarious.
It really is the very worst of the stereotypes about Americans
With
oatmeal
, part of what makes it do repellent, is I always find myself thinking "this is ok, I think he's alright, why does he get such a hard time?".... And then he does something, like this, and I think "ahhh, yes, that's why he gets such a hard time...."

If he were in America, he would have already shot up a school or shopping mall. Seriously disturbed this one. He has posted thousands of videos and has numerous youtube pages. Every last video is creepy. He has a video called "premature sex" from 1996
showing kids in bed together and another young girl with a gun. He comes from a trailor park outside of a town in the middle of nowhere. This is America to some degree. Not my America, but maybe 'Murica

Sure you have the "right" to do that. The police also may beat and kill you for it. And what punishment do they get for that? Suspension without pay, or maybe an early retirement.

Yes he was using them show that he was making purchases so they had no right to call the police. BUT he was buying noodles for 4,000 VND and bringing in street kids etc. you saw the original video, he was probably hassling the female employees as well.
Vietnamese are pretty tolerant I imagine this went on for a while before they thought it necessary to call the police. In my experience the Vietnamese go out of their way to have nothing to do with police so he must of been really stressing them out.

Circle K is an international brand I would say they checked with head office before they called police and it would of come from them. That's why the police turned up. If the local soup lady called them they probably wouldn't even bother. t wonder if t
he police notified the embassy? They instructed the family that was 'hosting" him to have him move out, so he was then complaining about being homeless. He has 4,000+ FB friends a lot of Vietnamese on his FB page were sympathising with him I am assuming one of them will take him next.

I have an American friend who is a little strange. He told me one day that he was "picking up girls at the supermarket" and I was like "Ok.. that's cool I suppose. You got game man". But what it really was is that he just approaches strangers and just
starts talking to them. Like.. he will see someone's motorbike and walk up and just be like "Hi. How are you ? How much was that motorbike ? So nice. My name is _____. What's yours ? Here. Have my phone number. Maybe we can go out for coffee or something". If there was a fine line between "polite and outgoing" and "irritating and doesn't understand social boundaries" ... then he manages to cross it all the time. I once had to drag him out of a gourmet delicatessen where I was buying some curry powder and spices because he managed to engage the guy in a discussion and it immediately turned into "Hey.. you have internet on this computer ? I want to show you a video about the Federal reserve and how the american government is screwing everyone". I was like "Oh no you don't ______. We need to GO. Now. Don't push your propaganda on this poor store clerk". I literally dragged him out of the place as he was yelling back at this confused kid "INVEST IN GOLD ! PUT YOUR MONEY IN GOLD !"
This guy in the video seems the same. Just doesn't understand social boundaries. There's a million ... wait.. actually there's about 4 million Vietnamese girls in this city who would be very happy to chat and learn a little English... but NOT WHEN THEY'RE WORKING AS A CASHIER AT CIRCLE K ! Oh my god, I cannot even imagine how annoying this guy must have been for her to have to call police. She was probably scared he was going to rape her or something. That dude has "rapist" written all over his freaky unwashed face. So disturbing ! ... but still funny for us since he put that shit on Youtube for us all
